Gardening of meat dogs

Dogs are among the first animals to be domesticated by humans, with a long and rich history of companionship and utility. In many cultures, dog meat is considered a nutritious food source, high in protein and low in fat. As the economy has grown rapidly in recent years, people's living standards have improved, leading to an increased demand for dog meat. This has turned dog farming into a profitable and efficient industry, requiring relatively low investment and offering quick returns. The breeding process is simple and can be carried out in backyards or abandoned areas, either through confined or free-range methods. Dogs are omnivorous, meaning they can eat both plant and animal-based foods. They have an excellent sense of smell, sharp hearing, and are fast runners with strong memory and adaptability. On average, dogs sleep 14 to 15 hours a day, and they are naturally alert, playful, and vocal. Female dogs reach sexual maturity at around 8 to 12 months, typically giving birth in spring or autumn. A single bitch can give birth to two dozen puppies per year. Meat dogs grow quickly, reaching slaughter weight within 3 to 4 months. When selecting breeding dogs, it's important to choose healthy, robust individuals with good growth rates, large body size, and strong disease resistance. Local breeds such as yellow or white dogs can be used as females, provided they are large, docile, and healthy. For males, fast-growing and strong breeds like the Tibetan Mastiff, Japanese Wolf Green, or German Shepherd are ideal. Breeding should begin when the dogs are around 18 months old, while large meat breeds may take up to 30 months to mature. Dog breeding facilities should be located in quiet, dry, and well-ventilated areas with secure fencing and walls. Each group should contain about 10 dogs, grouped by size, sex, and temperament. Each enclosure should have a resting area, space for exercise, a sand bath, and a water bath. Dedicated staff should manage feeding, watering, and cleanliness, preventing aggression and ensuring the health of the animals. Meat dogs have a varied diet, including animal products, vegetables, and minerals. A balanced diet should contain 17–25% protein, 3–7% fat, 3.0–4.5% crude fiber, and 44.0–49.5% carbohydrates. Puppies can be fed a mix of meat, milk, eggs, rice, vegetables, and salt, along with cod liver oil, bone meal, and supplements. Adult dogs are usually fed vegetable-based diets, such as rice, corn, soy, and fishmeal. Feeding should be regular, with fresh water available at all times. Good habits should be developed, such as eating and sleeping in fixed places. Puppies can be trained to respond to bells and follow routines to improve discipline and hygiene. Health management is crucial. Dogs are major carriers of rabies, so all should be vaccinated. Puppies receive multiple vaccines, including rabies, distemper, parvovirus, and hepatitis, starting at 15–30 days old, with boosters every 15 days and annual revaccinations. Kennels must be cleaned and disinfected regularly, and waste should be disposed of properly. Dogs entering the pens should be fumigated with formaldehyde and disinfected twice a week. Monthly deworming with levamisole helps prevent parasites. Probiotics, garlic, or other supplements can help avoid digestive issues. Regular observation and prompt treatment of sick animals are essential for maintaining a healthy herd.
