Dulce de Leche Coffee Popsicles + Iced Coffee
Hey there, coffee lovers! Today, I’m sharing one of the most delightful treats I’ve ever made—Dulce de Leche Coffee Popsicles. These aren’t just any popsicles; they’re smooth, creamy, and packed with that rich coffee flavor we all adore. Let me walk you through how I created this masterpiece.
It all started with an Americano. If you don’t have an espresso machine, don’t sweat it! Simply brew a strong cup of coffee and mix it with some hot water. For this recipe, I used two shots of espresso and added about half a cup of hot water. Once my coffee was ready, I added in the other key ingredient: Dulce de Leche. This caramel-like goodness melts beautifully when mixed with hot coffee, giving it that perfect sweetness without being overwhelming.
Next, I stirred in some sweetened condensed milk. This step is crucial because it adds another layer of creaminess while balancing out the flavors. At this point, you’ve got yourself an incredible batch of dulce de leche coffee, which can either be enjoyed right away as a warm drink, chilled for iced coffee, or frozen into popsicle molds for a refreshing snack.
Now, here’s where things got interesting. I decided to get a little creative and added a bit extra of the sweetened condensed milk on top of the popsicle molds before freezing them. Big mistake! The excess didn’t freeze properly, leaving me with a slightly sticky texture at the top. Lesson learned—stick to the recipe next time! But hey, every chef has their mishaps, right?
The final touch? A drizzle of dark chocolate over the frozen popsicles. Melting a few dark chocolate chips in the microwave and pouring them over each popsicle added an extra touch of decadence. Trust me, it’s worth the effort!
These Dulce de Leche Coffee Popsicles are not only a hit at summer barbecues but also make for a guilt-free indulgence during those mid-afternoon slumps. They’re especially great for replacing that late-night cup of coffee when you want something lighter yet equally satisfying.
If you're a fan of experimenting with different flavors, don’t forget to check out other exciting popsicle recipes like the Tropical Avocado Pops, Nutella Pudding Pops, and the Berrylicious Americana Pops. Each one brings its own unique twist to the classic popsicle experience.
So go ahead, give this recipe a try, and let me know what you think! If you do end up making these, snap a picture and tag me—I’d love to see your creations. Cheers to a sweet summer filled with delicious frozen treats!
