Baby on the Brain

Well, that , and on my bladder. But honestly, what I'm really excited to talk about today is how much I'm loving the progress we're making in Baby Boy Blue's nursery. The room is still a bit sparse, but it's finally ready for all those cute little touches—like bedding and accessories—that will bring everything together. It's starting to feel like a real sanctuary for our little one.

I just adore the blank canvas we've created here. There's so much potential!

So far, we've done a complete overhaul of the space. You might recall the chaos that used to be in there. My husband took on the walls and installed some beautiful wainscoting. He did such a fantastic job—it really adds character to the room.

Next up came the fresh coat of paint. We got some wonderful help with this step, and the results are stunning. The brilliant white contrasts beautifully against the light chocolate tones. It makes the room feel so much bigger and brighter.

Seriously though, the rich brown hue exudes reliability, stability, simplicity, and comfort. It evokes feelings of relaxation, making you feel cozy, safe, and warm. We're nearly done. The carpets have been deep-cleaned, and the crib and changing table have been refinished. They look brand-new! Now it's time to sprinkle in those soft, baby-friendly, and colorful accessories we've been saving. Those pops of color are going to look amazing against the clean lines and calming background we've created.

Oh, and don't forget the closet! We've slowly been filling it with the cutest—and utterly necessary—finds. From tiny onesies to adorable sleepers, every piece feels like a treasure.
