InfoBionic raises $8 million for remote patient monitoring systems

InfoBionic will use the funds to build a commercial remote patient monitoring system, MOME Kardia. MOME Kardia is designed to help patients with arrhythmia monitor their ECG, breathing and exercise. The lightweight monitoring unit can be worn as a necklace or belt accessory.

MOME sends data to a cloud platform that analyzes the data, minimizing false positives. The analyzed data is then sent to the doctor. The device has three monitoring modes, Dynamic Electrocardiogram, Activity, and Mobile ECG Telemetry (MCT). This means that if the doctor thinks that the patient's heart symptoms require different types of monitoring techniques, they can switch to any of the monitoring modes remotely.

Doctors can access patient data via a web or ipad app. The doctor's operator interface provides advice on patient monitoring progress and automatically generates reports with multiple parameters and data.
