(b) Combining topdressing with basal fertilization. This method uses compound fertilizers to provide a balanced nutrient supply. By combining topdressing with basal application, farmers can address issues like surface root nutrient deficiencies. Topdressing also helps activate the soil layer, increase root elongation, and provide essential nutrients to the plants.
(c) Combining large water irrigation with small water flushing. Many farmers apply large amounts of water during both seedling and fruiting stages, which can cause problems such as seedling diseases, root rot, and poor drainage. Whether using bio-fertilizers, organic, or chemical fertilizers, it's important to apply them in appropriate amounts and cultivate the soil after watering to maintain good aeration and structure.
(d) Combining biological and chemical fertilizers. Bio-fertilizers contain beneficial bacteria that help activate the soil, raise soil temperature, and regulate nutrient availability.
