Pesticide winter storage attention

In winter, the average farmer household has unfinished pesticides at home, and if it is not properly kept, there will often be problems such as deterioration or explosion. There are three kinds of pesticides: solid, liquid, and gas. The different forms of pesticides have different requirements for storage.

Liquid pesticides should focus on thermal insulation and sun protection, avoid high temperatures to prevent contact with the air; to stay away from fire, to prevent contact with oxidants and alkaline substances, generally should be placed in a ventilated place away from Japan, a cool dry place, generally pay attention to when the bottle is stored up, Do not stand upside down, and do not mix with strong oxidants such as nitrates and strong acids, and organics such as charcoal and paper scraps. Bottle caps and stoppers for bottled pesticides must be tightly capped to prevent decomposition. Some pesticides have their own characteristics. For example, phoxim and trifluralin can easily be decomposed when exposed to heat. They should be stored in a cool, dark place. Dichlorvos are easily decomposed and volatile, so be careful not to leave them for a long time. Organophosphorus pesticides are mostly easy to decompose and fail in alkalis, and should not be mixed with alkaline substances. Bottled liquid pesticides are susceptible to freezing at sub-zero temperatures, forming lumps or cracking the bottles. Therefore, it is best to use rice husks for heat preservation and anti-freeze during storage.

Solid pesticides should mainly be protected against moisture and moisture, and they should be padded with wooden boards, cement boards, or dried chaff or wheat straw, straw, etc., and be careful of ventilation. The aerosol should not be stored together with volatile, flammable or explosive materials. The temperature should not exceed 30°C.

Gas pesticides are not commonly used as such pesticides, and methyl bromide is commonly used. When storing in winter, it should also be protected against high temperatures and prevent violent collisions. Check valves frequently for looseness and there is no gap in the cylinder to prevent explosion.

Microbial pesticides should be kept in a low-temperature and dry environment, and they should be protected against high temperature and humidity. The storage time should not exceed two years.
