Correctly calculate the quantity and value of assets, clarify economic responsibilities, supervise and promote the proper storage and rational use of medical equipment, continuously improve the utilization rate and integrity of medical equipment, and give full play to its medical efficiency. Methods: According to the status quo of medical device management, the medical device management system based on radio frequency identification (RFID) technology was discussed, and the overall design of the system architecture, key technologies, network topology, system configuration and function modules was carried out. In particular, the equipment database, the main part of the medical device management system based on RFID technology, has been designed in detail. Results : The RFID-based medical device management system combines RFID technology, wireless network technology, data movement collection management technology and equipment management software to improve the accuracy of equipment information, save labor costs, and effectively improve the automation of equipment management. degree. Conclusion: The application of RFID-based hospital medical equipment management system can bring the management benefits, economic benefits and social benefits of hospital medical equipment.

With the gradual development of hospital modernization, informationization has brought more and more benefits and conveniences to hospitals. On the one hand, with the development of information technology, it is convenient for the masses to seek medical treatment. On the other hand, the construction of information technology has also been greatly improved. The hospital's management level and medical service level.

Medical equipment is an important part of the composition of hospital assets, and it is an important guarantee for the completion of normal medical treatment and treatment of various departments. Strengthening the management of medical equipment, giving full play to the maximum benefits of medical equipment, and preventing the loss and idleness of medical equipment have received extensive attention from hospitals. The management of medical equipment reflects the management level of hospitals to a certain extent, and it is also an important factor in the development of hospital informationization. Ensure the integrity, value, and value of hospital medical equipment, correctly calculate the quantity and value of assets, clarify economic responsibilities, supervise and promote the proper storage and rational use of medical equipment, continuously improve the utilization rate and integrity of medical equipment, and give full play to the effectiveness of medical equipment. It is the core goal of medical equipment management.

For the management of hospital medical equipment, the selection of advanced automatic identification technology, radio frequency identification (RFID) technology as a technical means, the successful application of medical equipment management system based on RFID technology in medical equipment management will change the long-term equipment information. The difficult situation of management will simultaneously improve the automation of China's medical industry. At present, the application of RFID in medical device management is gradually emerging. Especially in developed countries in Europe and America, more and more hospitals have introduced RFID technology into the daily management of medical equipment to solve the problem of high value of hospital fixed assets and long service life. The problem of inconsistency between physical and financial accounts, cumbersome depreciation calculation, and repeated purchase and use of medical devices caused by inadequate management, using RFID radio frequency identification and information collection technology to efficiently realize the information management of fixed assets, accurate The query function and unique permission management concept enable the managers at all levels of the hospital to keep abreast of the comprehensive information of all fixed assets of the hospital.

1.1 Overview of RFID

RFID is a non-contact automatic identification technology realized by radio frequency communication. It is compatible with and exceeds the bar code recognition technology. It automatically recognizes the target object and acquires relevant data through radio frequency signals. The identification work can work in various harsh environments without manual intervention. It is fast and convenient to operate and is now widely used in manufacturing, logistics, public safety, retail, medical, asset management and other industries. RFID tags are small in size, large in capacity, long in life, and reusable. They support fast reading and writing, non-visual recognition, mobile recognition, multi-target recognition, positioning and long-term tracking management. RFID technology combined with Internet, communication and other technologies can achieve a wide range of item tracking and information sharing. RFID technology is applied to medical equipment management, which can greatly improve management and operation efficiency, reduce costs, and has deep and broad application prospects in hospital medical equipment management.

The concept of RFID and barcode is similar. The purpose is to quickly and accurately confirm the tracking target object, but the two have the following main differences:

(1) Reading distance and speed: The reading distance of the handheld 2D barcode scanner is up to 1 m, and the reading distance of the RFID handheld device is determined according to the RFID tag of different frequencies, and the typical distance is 3.10 m. The reading speed of barcodes and RFID tags can meet the needs of manual work. When reading with a fixed reader, several RF tags can be identified at once in the reading range, and the distance of the RFID is much farther than the barcode.

(2) The barcode is a “visual technology”. The scanner works under the guidance of humans and can only receive barcodes within its field of view. In contrast, RFID does not require the target to be seen, it can be read within the scope of the receiver, does not require a light source, and can even read data through external materials.

(3) The amount of data that can be carried by the barcode is extremely small. Generally, only one code can be stored for unique identification. The chip of the RF tag has a large capacity, and can store detailed information of the device, such as device name, origin, brand, and purchase date. And information related to the equipment such as maintenance records.

(4) Barcodes are generally printed on plastic strips, which are prone to wear and contamination. After a period of time, the barcodes are unclear and the identification is difficult. The radio frequency labels have long service life and are not sensitive to surface contamination and can work in harsh environments.

(5) The sticking of the barcode is limited by the shape and material of the surface of the device, and the radio frequency label can be easily embedded or attached to products of different shapes and types.

(6) Once the barcode is printed, it cannot be rewritten; the content of the RF tag can be dynamically changed, and the data can be written and accessed, and the writing time is less than the time taken to print the barcode.

(7) Barcodes have open writing standards and low security; while standard RF tags have password protection and higher security.

(8) The barcodes are passive markers, and the RF tags are divided into active and passive. The active RF tags can track and locate the objects attached to the RFID tags. Due to the high value of medical equipment, high technology content, large amount of relevant information, diverse shapes and materials, and complicated installation and placement conditions, RFID-based medical equipment management systems have advantages and potentials compared to barcode-based or digital-code-based systems.
