Advantages of SPRimager® II System in Chip Array Analysis

Suitable for a wide range of analytes
The SPRimager® II system analyzes all biomolecules that other brands of SPR analysis systems can analyze. Published cases include analysis of antibodies, antigens, antibiotics, aptamers, ligands, lectins, oligonucleotides, proteins, polypeptides, oligosaccharides, toxins, transcription factors, and the like. Unlike the multi-channel SPR analysis system, the unique liquid system design of the SPRimager® II system allows one to monitor whole cells and virions. For example, protein ligand arrays are used to characterize cellular receptor characteristics. The number of probes and the format of the dot plate have a lot of space for the user to choose

Multi-channel SPE systems place probes in 2 to 4 channels, so only up to 2 to 4 probes can be analyzed at a time. Even for expensive systems that cost USD 750,000 or more, there are no more than 20 probes at a time. In contrast, the SPRimager® II system uses an open working platform that allows the user to control the number of probes and the format of the points:

- Select a SpotReadyTM chip substrate for quick manual spotting.
- Selecting the SpotReadyTM chip allows for manual spotting using a pipette.
- Pure gold spots (16 or 25 points per SpotReadyTM chip) are coated with a hydrophobic layer - making the water-soluble probe 1 - 2 μl
Continuous beads.
SpotReadyTM substrates are ideal for rapid method development and low density arrays.

- SpotReadyTM chip substrates are primarily used for automated spotting operations and high density arrays.
- The SpotReadyTM chip substrate has a uniform, pure gold surface that can be used in a variety of array formats.
- Suitable for needle tip type systems and piezoelectric spotting systems.

The applicability of this chip matrix from GWC allows you to analyze arrays from a few to a few hundred probes and allows you to control the experimental design instead of the instrument. Moreover, no matter whether you use the SpotReadyTM or SpotReadyTM chip substrate to build an array, you are not limited by the instrument.
