The ultimate goal of any cow raising method is to hope that cows can eat the right amount of balanced nutrients at the right stage to achieve the highest yield, the best reproduction rate and the greatest profit. Feeding with TMR is the only feeding method available for both large and small herds.

TMR is a feeding technique that thoroughly mixes roughage, concentrates, minerals, vitamins, and other additives to provide enough nutrients to meet the needs of dairy cows. TMR feeding technology, based on supporting technical measures and TMR machinery with excellent performance, can ensure that every cow eating a diet is a full-price diet with stable crude ratio and consistent nutrient concentration. First, the merits of TMR technology

1. Improve the milk production of dairy cows. Studies have shown that cows fed TMR can produce 5% to 8% more milk per kilogram of dry matter. Even if milk production has reached 9 tons/year, there is still an increase of 6% to 10% of milk production.

2. Increase the dry matter intake of dairy cows. The TMR technology shortens the roughage and then mixes it with the concentrate so that the various feeds have a complementary effect in the physical space, thereby increasing the dry matter intake of the dairy cow. In the case of TMR mechanically well-mixed conditions, it is entirely possible to eliminate the selectivity of the cows for a particular feed (picky-eaters), thus facilitating the maximum use of the lowest-cost formula feed. At the same time, TMR is completely mixed according to the proportion specified in the diet, which reduces the accidental occurrence of trace elements, vitamin deficiency or poisoning.

3. Improve milk quality. After the roughage, concentrate feed and other feeds are evenly mixed, they are fed together by the cows to reduce the fluctuation of the pH of the rumen, thereby maintaining the stability of the rumen pH, creating a good living environment for the rumen microorganisms, and promoting the growth and reproduction of the microorganisms. 6. Reduce feed costs. TMR diets prevent dairy cows from picky eaters, nutrients can be effectively used by dairy cows, and feed utilization can be increased by 4% compared to traditional feeding models; adequate modulation of TMR diets can also mask poor palatability but low-cost industries in feeds. Second, the key points of TMR breeding technology

Management technology measures are the key to the effective use of TMR, and good management can enable dairy farms to obtain maximum economic benefits.

1. Cows are reasonably grouped. For large dairy farms, lactating herds can be divided into early, middle and late herds, early dry milk, and late dry cows according to the lactation stage. For dairy cows that are in the early stages of lactation, regardless of the level of yield, the main objective is to increase dry matter intake. Cows with relatively high or very thin milk production in the middle of lactation should be classified as early lactating cows.

For small dairy farms, high-yield, low-yield and dry dairy herds can be classified according to milk production. In general, the early lactation and high yield cattle are divided into high-yield herds, and the middle- and late-stage cattle are divided into low-yielding herds.

2. Dry matter intake forecast. According to the formula, the theoretical value was calculated, and the actual feed intake of dairy cows was derived from different cow stages, lactation stage, body condition, milk fat, milk protein and climate.

3. Dairy cow feed formulation. According to the actual situation of pastures, consider factors such as lactation stage, yield, parity, body condition, and feed resource characteristics, and formulate the formula rationally. 1. The proper packing sequence. The general vertical mixer is coarse and fine, and it is added in the order of hay, silage, bad residue, and fine material.

2. Mixing time. Add materials while mixing, and then mix the materials for 3 to 6 minutes to avoid overmixing.

3. Pay attention to the material moisture content. In order to ensure that the material moisture content is 40% to 50%, it can be added after adding water or concentrate water. The ranch can conveniently use a microwave oven to measure the moisture content of the feed.

4. Strengthen trough management records.
