Pickling root method

Viola is a perennial root vegetable of the lily family. Its roots, stems, leaves, flowers can be eaten, it can be said that the whole body of leeks is a treasure. The leek root is spicy, warm, enters the liver, stomach, and kidney. It has the effect of warm appetizing, promoting qi and activating blood circulation, tonifying kidney and promoting yang and dispersing phlegm.

Here is a method of marinating leeks root:

1. The leeks roots after harvest are sorted and categorized;

2, removal of impurities and dust, soaking rubbing clean water;

3, the cleaned leeks rooted in a clean rake and dried for drying;

4, put the prepared raw materials in a clean container, according to the method of making traditional pickles by adding appropriate amount of edible salt, fresh pepper noodles, high spirits plus appropriate amount of brown sugar powder to enhance taste, and then stir evenly;

5. Stir the leeks root into the pre-prepared washed and dried pottery jars, seal them, and store them in a cool and dry place for about 2 months.

The leeks marinated with this method have original flavor, natural color, crystal clearness, crispy entrance, rich fragrance and long aftertaste, and are ideal pickle foods for household consumption.
