Crab pond grass planting snail measures

With the expansion of the scale of crab cultivation and the improvement of intensive farming, the water quality of aquaculture waters deteriorates, the quality of crabs declines, and diseases increase, which affects the improvement of the benefits of crab breeding. Dalong Township, Dafeng City, Jiangsu Province has adopted grass breeding and snail feeding methods for crabs in recent years. It has achieved a good result of 55 kg of crab produced by 667 square meters. The practice is as follows.
1. Pond requirements. Fresh water quality is required. The water depth is 1.5 meters or more, the bottom is flat, and the mud is less than 20 centimeters. The area is 0.67-1.33 hectares. The intake and drain outlets of the crab pool are set to diagonal lines, and high irrigation and low row are implemented. Pool week with calcium plastic board to prevent escape. In the deep water of the pond, set up a holding pool (flat pool bottom, where a deep holding pool of 50-60 cm can be excavated in the pool corner or poolside), which covers 5%-10% of the total pool area.
2. Clear the pond. In December, the dry ponds were exposed to the sun to remove excess silt from the bottom of the pool, and the ponds were cleaned up. In the 15 days before the crabs were planted, 75 kg of lime dry dry ponds were disinfected per 667 square meters.
3. Crab species purchase and stocking. The purchase of young crabs requires the same specifications, complete appendages, no injuries, sexual immature. Before and after the Spring Festival, the stocking size of each 667 square meters of ponds is 100-200 pounds of young crabs 500-600. The juvenile crabs were first placed in temporary holding pools for raising, and the water peanuts were transplanted in the ponds to provide shelter for the crabs. The water peanuts were disinfected with 20 g/m3 of lime water before transplanting.
4. Aquatic cultivation. Before and after Ching Ming, sow thistle grass. Soaking for 12 hours before sowing, wash off the mucus on the seed, sow with fine soil or fine sand to sow the entire pond, sow 50 grams per 667 square meters. After the seed is under the pond, pool water is controlled within 20 centimeters, prompting the seeds to germinate early and give birth, so as to meet the growing needs of crabs in the future. As the water temperature rises, the water level of the pond can be increased to 60-80 cm, making the aquatic plants grow longitudinally and become the crab shells and hidden places. It can also absorb excess nutrients, purify the water, shading and cooling, and provide bait.
5. Snails launch. Before and after the Ching Ming, live snails were distributed at a rate of 150 kg to 200 kg per 667 square meters, and the snails must be disinfected prior to release. The advantages of putting snails: (1) Snails feed on the leaves of aquatic plants and benthic algae, which can purify the water quality; (2) The spirochete breeds faster and can be used as a constant supply of river crab bait; 3) The low cost and wide source of snails. Planting Vallisneria can better control the water quality of the pond and provide a fresh living environment for the crab.
6. Daily management. When juvenile crabs are released, the water temperature is low, and the juvenile crabs consume physical energy after winter. For this reason, the feeding of nutritious pellet foods should be used in the early stage, and some animal diets should be used appropriately, and they should be fed once a day in the evening. By May, with the rise of the water temperature, the crabs have entered a period of vigorous growth and they are feeding the bait twice. The bait feeds mainly on full-priced crab feed, and the amount of bait is finished within 2 hours. In the hot season of July-September, plant feeds should be added to facilitate the accumulation of crabs.
