Peach blossom processing

Post-harvest management of peach blossoms primarily involves drying. After harvesting, the flowers are first pre-cooled and then sorted. Each individual branch is carefully packaged and placed in a controlled environment with a relative humidity of 85% to 90%. The storage area should be dark, with a temperature maintained between -1°C and 1°C. It's important to note that no preservative solutions are required during storage, which allows the blossoms to remain fresh for up to 30 to 40 days. This method ensures the quality and longevity of the product while maintaining its natural appearance and fragrance.

For packaging, a standard corrugated box measuring 100cm x 40cm x 40cm lined with a plastic film is typically used. It’s crucial to ensure that both the inner liner and the outer corrugated box have proper ventilation holes. These vents help maintain air circulation, prevent moisture buildup, and reduce the risk of mold or spoilage during storage and transportation. Using the right packaging not only protects the delicate blossom branches but also enhances their shelf life and overall presentation to the end consumer.
