Hong Wen Wen Lan

The safflower Wenyulan is a perennial evergreen herb of the family Amaryllidaceae and Wenshulan. Plant height 50 cm to 80 cm, with a large bulb. Leaves banded, born apically. Umbellulate, petal linear, reeled, aromatic, flowering from August to September. Saffron Wenqinlan is native to Indonesia and has a warm and humid environment. It is more shade-tolerant. Appropriate temperature 15 °C to 25 °C, suitable for loose, fertile sandy loam growth. It can be planted by cultivating soil mixed with 3 parts of peat soil and 2 parts of sandy soil. Saffron Wenzhulan needs to replace slightly larger pots each spring and add base fertilizer to potted soil. At the beginning of the basin replacement, the seedlings should be kept in seedlings for 5 to 7 days, and then moved to the scattered light environment to support them. In the pot growth period, thin organic fertilizer (concentration is 20%) is applied once every two weeks, and the potting soil is kept moist, but it cannot accumulate water. S. sinensis is commonly used for sowing and propagation of ramets. Sowing is mostly done from March to April in spring. The propagation of ramets should be carried out in conjunction with the replacement of potted soil. The mother plants shall be deducted from the pots, the bulbs around the mother plants shall be cut off, and the pots may be planted separately. The safflower Wenyulan is afraid of high temperatures in summer and should be moved to outdoor shelters for conservation. In mid-September, it moved into the sunny indoor location. In the environment with high temperature and poor ventilation, it is easy to cause sooty and spider mites. Diseases can be sprayed with carbendazim (concentration 0.2%) and insect pests can be sprayed with a dimethoate emulsion.
