According to the monitoring of the Ministry of Commerce, the prices of vegetables and eggs have dropped, and the prices of meat, edible oil and food have fallen.

Operation of main edible agricultural products (I) Vegetable prices entered a seasonal decline channel In April, most of China's open market vegetables increased, and vegetable prices continued to fall. In April, the average wholesale price of 18 kinds of vegetables in major and medium-sized cities nationwide was 3.7 yuan/kg, which was 13.2% lower than that in March (the same below) and 2.4% lower than the same period of last year. In terms of sub-variety, the prices of fruits and vegetables dropped sharply, among which cucumber, green pepper and bitter gourd decreased by 28.5%, 25.4% and 22.8% respectively; rapeseed, celery and lettuce dropped 21.6%, 15.1% and 14.9% respectively. .

(II) Egg prices continued to fall The egg production of spring laying hens entered the peak period. In addition, the supplementation at the early stage was positive and the stock of laying hens was at a relatively high level. The market supply increased and the price of eggs continued to fall since mid-February. In April, the average retail price of eggs in major and medium-sized cities in the country fell to 9.05 yuan/kg, 2.8% less than in March; the average wholesale price of eggs dropped to 7.94 yuan/kg, 3.6% less than in March.

(3) The price of meat has risen and fell, which has been affected by factors such as the increase in the number of live pigs and relatively flat consumption of pork. In April, the average wholesale price of fresh pork in major and medium-sized cities across the country was 20.5 yuan/kg, up 1.1% from March, and the increase narrowed by 1.9 percentage points.

In April, the average wholesale prices of white striped chicken and beef in the major large and medium-sized cities nationwide were 17.25 yuan/kg and 32.93 yuan/kg, respectively, up by 0.6% and 0.4% from March; the average wholesale price of lamb meat was 38.9 yuan/kg, compared with 3 The month decreased by 0.3%.

(4) Slower growth of edible oil prices The impact of the soybean planting area in the United States is expected to increase due to the high soybean production in Brazil. International oil price oscillates downward, driving the price of imported oil products to fall. At the same time, domestic edible oil demand has gradually entered the off-season and prices have slowed down. In April, the average retail price of barreled cooking oil in major and medium-sized cities across the country was 16.1 yuan/kg, which was 0.2% higher than that in March, and the increase narrowed by 0.3%, and was 8.2% higher than the same period of last year. Among them, the price of soybean oil, rapeseed oil and peanut oil rose by 0.3%, 0.2% and 0.2% respectively from March, and the growth rate decreased by 0.3, 0.3 and 0.2 percentage points respectively.

(5) Grain price increase gradually reduces the high price of raw grain, the transportation cost increases, and the cost pressure of small and medium-sized food processing enterprises continues to support food prices. However, the lowest purchase price of wheat and japonica rice remained high and the local food reserve turns gradually into a peak period, and the increase in grain prices gradually narrowed. In April, the average retail prices of small-package rice and flour in major large and medium-sized cities in China were 5.5 yuan/kg and 4.9 yuan/kg, respectively, which were 1.3% and 0.6% higher than those in March, respectively, which fell 0.6 points and 0.4 percentage points respectively.

(6) The increase in the price of sugar and the reduction in the output in the new crop season and the peak season for sugar consumption will support the price of sugar, but as the sugar imports increase, the price of sugar has narrowed. In April, the average retail price of sugar in major and medium-sized cities nationwide was 9.2 yuan/kg, which was 1.9% higher than that in March, and the increase narrowed by 0.6%.

(7) The slight increase in the price of milk was affected by the increase in the prices of raw materials such as raw milk and sugar, and the price of milk rose slightly. In April, the average retail price of milk in major and medium-sized cities nationwide was 8.1 yuan/kg, which was 1.2% higher than that in March, and the increase was 0.2 percentage point higher.
