The bulk crops here include early rice, one-season rice, late rice, winter wheat, spring wheat, spring corn, summer corn, rapeseed, cotton, and soybean. See the table below for the planting area of some crops.

Based on many years of agricultural meteorological reports and related data, the author speculates that the nitrogen fertilizer application period in China is as follows:

January-February: Some major crops began to use fertilizer, mainly rapeseed. The southwestern part of the winter wheat will be returned to the green section for top dressing. From the southwest and south of the Yangtze River to Jianghuai, local rapeseed in the northwest gradually enters the bud dressing stage. A small amount of early rice in southern China was planted with base fertilizer from south to north.

March: The start-up season of the spring plowing and fertilization season is dominated by the south and gradually increasing in the north. Rice and winter wheat are the focus. ,

Some winter wheat in northwest China, Huanghuai and Jianghuai returned to green fertilizer, and some winter wheat in southwestern and Jianghan were topdressed. Local spring wheat planting base fertilizer in northwest and north China. Jianghuai, Jiangnan part of the rape is still catching the moss. Partial fertilization was applied to some of the spring maize in South China, Jiangnan, Southwest, and Huazhong. Some parts of southwestern rice began to sow base fertilizer. In southern part of South China, early rice is returned to Qinghai for cropping, and most of southern China and southern China are planted with base fertilizer.

April: In the peak period of spring tillage, a large number of crops are fertilized.

The winter wheat planting with a large area has entered the peak period of the topdressing stage in the returning green dialling section, mainly in the areas of Jianghuai, Huanghuai, North China and Northwest China. Spring wheat is mainly planted in the north and northwestern areas. Spring maize is sown in the northeast, northwest, north China, Jianghuai, Jianghan, and some southwestern production areas. The base fertilizer is applied to the growing season in the Yangtze River Valley and South China. Cotton began to sow a large amount of base fertilizer, mainly in Xinjiang, Huanghuai, and the Yangtze River basin. During the peak season of planting rice in one season, the planting area began to sow in the northeast, and parts of the southwest, Jianghan and Jianghuai planted base fertilizer. Early rice enters the peak dressing season, with the south end of South China harvesting panicle fertilizers, and most of southern China to the south of the Yangtze River enter the returning green cropping season.

May: Relatively lighter peak season in April.

Only a small amount of winter wheat in the north is still topdressing. Relatively less winter wheat planting area only part of the spring into the top dressing period. Spring corn is the main fertilizer used this month. A large area of northeastern corn planting a large number of crops, from the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, southwest to north China, northwest gradually large fertilizer, South China has entered a small amount of top dressing period. Summer corn is sown in the southwest and Huanghuai areas. A small amount of cotton production area chasing bud fertilizer. In some areas of Jianghuai and other areas, rice is still planting. Early rice top-dressing is also the center of gravity of this month, and most of South China and South China are chasing green manure to harvesting panicle fertilizer. Late rice began planting at the south end of South China.

June: In the high season, rice and corn are mainly used for fertilizer.

The spring wheat in the northeast, northwest, and north of China was given a large number of fertilizers after fertilizing. Most of the spring maize in the northeast, northwest, and north China entered the peak dressing season, and the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, the southwest, and other south areas entered a small top-dressing period. The summer maize in North China is sown with basic fertilizer, and the southwest enters a large fertilizer season. Most of the cotton chase fertilizers in Xinjiang, Huanghuai, and the Yangtze River basin. During the peak rice season, rice is harvested in the southwest, and most of the northeast, Jianghuai, Jianghan, etc. are chasing green manure. Early rice harvesting spike fertilizer season, South China, Jiangnan completed one after another. Late rice continues to be planted in the south of southern China and south of the Yangtze River.

July: During the peak season, rice, summer corn and cotton are used as fertilizers.

After allocating fertilizers to the northeast, northwest, and north China spring corns, they generally entered a small dressing in the tasseling period. Summer maize has been rapidly grown by large fertilizers from the southwest, Huanghuai, North China, and the northwest. Cotton in Xinjiang, Huanghuai, the Yangtze River Valley and other production areas into the fertilization of the flower bell period. Soybeans in the northeast and north China have entered the flowering and dressing period. In the southwest, Jianghan, and part of the northeastern rice, successive panicles were harvested. Some late rice in southern China is still planting, and part of the southern part of the river is beginning to return to Qingfen.

August: The peak season fades.

The northern spring corn basically completed a small top dressing in the early days. There is still a small amount of top-dressing fertilizer in the northern summer corn. Most of the cotton is in the flowering and bolling stage of heavy fertilization in Xinjiang, Huanghuai and the Yangtze River basin. In the northeast, Jianghuai, Jianghan, and other parts of the rice season, panicle fertilizer is gradually completed. Most of the late rice in South China and South China was produced by cropping, and some of them began to harvest panicle fertilizer.

September-September: fertilize the off-season.

Large crops include winter wheat in the northwest, north China, Huanghuai, Jianghuai, Jianghan, and southwestern producing areas. Rape is also sown in the northwest, middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, southwestern areas, and other areas. The late rice harvested panicle fertilizers in southern and southern China in September.
