According to the working state of the die, the working area can be divided into a filling area, a pressing area and a discharging area in the circumferential direction.

In the filling zone, the feeder feeds excess material into the die orifice. When the undershoot is run over the wafer re-adjuster, the upper cam of the regulator raises the undershoot to the appropriate position to push the excess particles out. The extruded particles are scraped off the die orifice by the scraper and are utilized as they enter the next fill zone. The lifting height of the undershoot can be adjusted by the sheet weight adjuster, so that the volume of the die hole can be adjusted, thereby achieving the purpose of adjusting the weight of the die.

In the pressing area, the upper punch enters the die hole under the action of the upper pressing wheel, and the lower punch rises under the action of the lower pressing wheel. Under the combined action of the upper and lower punches, the particles in the die holes are extruded into sheets.

In the exit area, the upper and lower punches begin to rise, and the pressed piece is punched down to the top of the mountain die hole, which is then scraped off the disk by the blade and slides into the receptacle along the guide groove. Then the lower punch is lowered, and the die is driven by the turntable to enter the next filling zone to start the next operation cycle. The ejection height of the undershoot can be adjusted to a position that is level or slightly higher than the upper portion of the middle mold by the sheet regulator.

As can be seen from the above, the two tablet presses have different principles except for the different shape configurations.
